Is Empowering Self-Pleasure a Delight or a Dilemma?

Empowering self-pleasure can have unintended consequences. If you took the time to focus on the challenge, perhaps you discovered new delights. If it was difficult to move through the challenge, maybe it highlighted a dilemma. Either way-you got new information that you can act on in the future. Even though we are halfway through the challenge, you can still catch up on the process with the first-week post and the second-week post.

Dilemma

Maybe you discovered something you didn’t like.

Maybe you discovered something that scared you.

Maybe you weren’t completely honest with yourself.

These things can provide content to evaluate for getting self-pleasure in your life. You can take apart and analyze anything that falls into the statement buckets above.

Use the 5 W’s- Who, What, When, Where, Why, plus How. Each one of these questions brings you closer to owning your sexuality and your self-pleasure. As you investigate, take notes in your journal.

Delight

You found something that provided pleasure. How would you embellish it?

How would you make this more of your world?

What did you learn about yourself?

What did I cause you to think about and consider?

Did you get Stuck in the Middle of The Challenge?

Sometimes life intervenes, and it slips your mind. The old way of doing things comes back to settle in their place.

Recommit to you.

I’m in the middle of the ambiguity ocean, and it doesn’t feel good.

Remember, other folks are doing it too.

We all feel uneasy when doing something new, like exploring ourselves in a way that pleases us.

Here’s what you can look forward to next.

THIS WEEK for Empowering Self-pleasure

This week the cards shift from the Sex Positive Tarot Deck to the Body Deck for empowering self-pleasure.

Gabby Jockers, a co-author of The Body Deck, is a boudoir photographer. She uses the cards to help women step into all they are as they begin the photo shoot. She sees the transformation in front of her. You can have that for yourself when you use the cards.

Gabby and her coauthor Melissa have crafted wonderful affirmations. Use them like the other cards. What do they spark? What directions might they send you in? It is all material. Whatever message you get is the message that is right for you.

Here are some of the upcoming topics I selected. Defined, Abundance, Priorities, Wise, Quiet, Trust, and Intention. Exploring your thoughts about these topics can teach you about your boundaries and relationship with self-pleasure.

The Topics

DEFINED: Do you clearly understand what pleases you? Have you defined your needs and wants, and can you communicate them?

ABUNDANCE: Do you recognize the abundance of ways you can experience pleasure? Do you allow yourself to explore and enjoy the full range of sensory experiences available to you?

PRIORITIES: Is self-pleasure a priority for you? Do you make time for it, or is it often overlooked or pushed aside?

WISE: Do you listen to your body and its wisdom? Do you pay attention to what feels good, and what doesn’t, and adjust accordingly?

QUIET: Can you find pleasure in the quiet moments, stillness, and simply being with yourself? Or is there a need for constant stimulation or distraction?

TRUST: Do you trust your body, instincts, and desires? Do you trust yourself to know what’s right for you and make choices that honor your pleasure?

INTENTION: Do you approach self-pleasure with intention, considering what you want to experience or explore? Or do you tend to go on autopilot?

By examining these aspects, you may discover two things. First, you may find new delights in your self-pleasure practice, or second, you may identify dilemmas that need addressing. Either way, it’s about creating a more empowering, satisfying, and joyful relationship with your own pleasure.

To Conclude

In conclusion, empowering self-pleasure can be both a delight and a dilemma. It depends on individual experiences and perspectives. It’s a journey of discovery, which can be filled with exciting revelations and daunting challenges. The key to navigating this journey lies in self-awareness, inquiry, and intentional action. The card journey path is one way to get there. Whether it leads to more joyous discoveries or highlights areas of discomfort, exploring self-pleasure ultimately provides invaluable insights. Invest in yourself, foster personal growth and self-acceptance, and create a healthier relationship with your sexuality.

Remember, a vital concept of the empowerment of self-pleasure is through introspection and self-awareness. Exploration of one’s sexuality can be a powerful tool for personal growth and understanding.
